WHERE WE’RE TAKING YOU:
Day 1: Los Angeles
Travel to Los Angeles, CA where you’ll stay at the Anaheim Marriott Suites before the adventure begins. Check in with your Elite Cruises Concierge, enjoy meeting the rest of the group, and get ready for a busy day tomorrow.
Day 2: Los Angeles
We’ll spend our first full day in California exploring the antique military autos, motorcycles, and planes at the Lyon Museum before attending the Historic Garden Grove Main Street Cruise Night with live music, cold brews, and plenty vintage vehicles from the 40s, 50s, and 60s.
Day 3: Departure Day
Our group will be taken from the hotel to the cruise port where we’ll board our ship, the Discovery Princess. After waving goodbye to dry land we’ll get ready for a night on the town with dinner and live entertainment at one of the many venues onboard.
Day 4: Day at Sea
Take advantage of the many amenities onboard our ship on this relaxing day at sea as we head north towards San Francisco. We particularly enjoy the Wakeview infinity style pool or taking a dip in one of the many hot tubs onboard before spending some time shopping or visiting the casino.
Day 5: Sonoma Winery & Muir Woods
No trip to Northern California would be complete without a stop at Muir Woods to see the 1,000 year old redwood trees! We’ll work up an appetite walking through the park before heading to Francis Ford Coppola’s winery in Sonoma for a wine tasting, a meal, and a glimpse of movie memorabilia including the stunning Tucker 48, aka the Tucker Torpedo. We recommend watching the Coppola film Tucker: the Man and His Dream to fully appreciate this ahead of its time automobile.
Day 6: San Francisco
The Academy of Art University Auto Museum boasts 42 unique vehicles that showcase the art and craftsmanship that go into creating a truly timeless car. View the collection comprised of Bugatti, Packard, Duesenberg, Cadillac, and more before heading back to the ship for an evening departure.
Day 7: Day at Sea
It’s time to head south to sunny San Diego and we’ll enjoy another relaxing day on the water before arriving. Take a break from all the activity by spending some time at the adults-only Retreat where you can soak up some sun while stewards bring you drinks and snacks or visit the hydrotherapy pool at The Enclave to rejuvenate any muscles that are sore from traveling.
Day 8: San Diego
Get ready for a busy day because there’s so much to see and do in San Diego! Visit the famous San Diego Zoo, explore the beautiful Balboa Park, or head outside the city to Deer Park Winery & Auto Museum for a wine flight and exploring the collection of 100+ classic cars, vintage signs, and other Americana memorabilia.
Day 9: Ensenada, Mexico
Our south of the boarder stop takes us to beautiful Ensenada! Walk the boardwalk, visit the birthplace of margaritas, taste tequila, take a Jeep adventure tour, or try some tacos, whatever you decide to do we can help you book your adventure on your day in Mexico.
Day 10: Los Angeles
Disembark and head to our next group hotel, Hilton Universal City, to get settled in before we head to a guided tour of The Nethercutt Collection to view the 250+ prestigious and rare vehicles on display. This museum also features a collection of hood ornaments as well as a beautifully restored 1937 locomotive and 1912 private Pullman train car.
Day 11: Los Angeles
The Petersen Automotive Museum has over 250 cars on display including some famous ones! Get up close to the Batmobile and DeLorean before heading to All Season Brewing Co to taste beers and craft cocktails in a historic Firestone tire shop on Miracle Mile.
Day 12: Los Angeles
On our last day in California we’ll split into two groups. Group 1 will tour West Coast Customs headquarters where car restoration and customization projects underway can be viewed while Group 2 will visit Universal Studios Hollywood for a day at the park and studio tour.
