July 27 to August 9, 2025
Vancouver, Canada to Fairbanks, Alaska
Join us on our first ever Antique Autos & Alaskan Adventures cruise which takes us on an epic journey north to Alaska for a visit to the renowned Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum. Experience all Alaska has to offer as we cruise past glaciers and through fjords, take a glass dome train through Denali National Park, and spend a day on a paddlewheel river boat before spending three nights in Fairbanks so auto afficionados of every age can enjoy the renowned antique auto museum as many times as they want!
Where We’re Taking You
Day 1: Vancouver
Travel to Vancouver, Canada for a one night stay at the luxurious Fairmont. Our group of antique auto afficionados will become fast friends before we begin our Alaskan Adventure in the morning.
July 27: Vancouver
Embark Holland America Line’s Signature Class ship the Nieuw Amsterdam. Once settled in we’ll gather together as a group to wave goodbye to land, get to know each other, and kick off the fun. Beverages are included on this all-inclusive cruise so you’ll enjoy cocktails, mocktails, specialty coffees, and more.
July 28: Inside Passage
Start watching for wildlife as we wind our way through the islands and fjords of the Inside Passage. Today is all about relaxing so treat yourself to a wine tasting, take a soak in the hydrotherapy pool, or visit the casino onboard and enjoy all the amenities our ship has to offer.
July 29: Ketchikan
Ketchikan is one of our favorite stops in Alaska because it has something for everyone. Take a tour of the colorful town, create a crab tower, or go on a fishing excursion, whatever you choose to do here we know it will be memorable thanks to the spectacular scenery.
July 30: Juneau
Today we’re meeting the Juneau Dipsticks Auto Club and we cannot wait to see what the club members are driving! Or if you feel like getting in touch with nature we recommend a whale watching tour where you are guaranteed to see whales and seals and maybe even get splashed a little by a whale tail.
July 31: Skagway
Skagway offers up a full day of adventure and we cannot imagine a better way to spend it than taking the White Pass Train into the Canadian Yukon. No matter how you choose to spend your day though the natural beauty of Alaska will leave you in awe by the time you depart.
August 1: Glacier Bay
Keep your cameras ready because Glacier Bay is the real show stopper of any Alaska cruise; everywhere you go around the ship will have jaw dropping views. Don’t forget to take advantage of the hot tub on the upper deck because when else will you get the opportunity to relax in the steamy water while surrounded by glaciers?
August 2: College Fjord
When cruising through College Fjord we’ll be surrounded by snow capped mountains and dozens of glaciers, most of which are named after East Coast colleges. Keep an eye out of the largest, Harvard Glacier, while enjoying coffee or hot cocoa on the balcony of your cabin. Spend the day enjoying the ship’s amenities before moving on to the second leg of our adventure in the morning.
August 3: Whittier to Anchorage
We’ll depart our ship in Whitter and head to Anchorage for a night at Hotel Captain Cook where we’ll be met by our friends from Alaska’s premier antique auto club, the Antique Auto Mushers of Alaska, for a cruise night.
August 4: Anchorage to Denali National Park
Our adventure begins when we board our glass dome train car on the McKinley Express and travel inland on a train ride like no other. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as we head to Denali National Park for a stay at the McKinley Chalet Resort (upgraded suite accommodations available upon request).
August 5: Denali National Park
Today we’re going on a tundra wilderness tour! Keep an eye out for bears, moose, and more while our tour bus takes us to picturesque spots for photos on Cathedral Mountain or by East Fork River.
August 6: Fairbanks
We’ll depart Denali by luxury coach and take that to our final destination of Fairbanks; here we’ll spend three nights at the West Mark Hotel which is connected to Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum, giving you easy access to their collection featuring some of the rarest cars in the world.
August 7: Fairbanks
Spend some time at the Fountainhead museum before we venture out on a paddlewheel boat cruise on the Chena River. This tour showcases the beauty of Alaska alongside its history and is something every member of your family will look forward to.
August 8: Fairbanks
Your last day in Alaska is entirely up to you. If you’re looking for more adventure you can take a tour to the Arctic Circle or visit a mining museum, or just spend the day taking one last look at your favorite cars from the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum.
August 9: Departure
Depart Fairbanks for home or take advantage of our optional trip extension that takes you to Tacoma, WA for a visit to America’s Car Museum. Ask us about airfare, hotels, activities, and more to keep the fun going when you extend your travel with us!
